Samantha Ebert on her song "Flowers"

New release as of 2024

We love to discover new music and are so happy we stumbled across this gem. We asked Samantha Ebert a few short questions about her song "Flowers". Here's what she had to say about it..

What inspired this song?

In August of 2023, I got very sick. For months I couldn’t get of out bed nor attend my last year of University and I lost my ability to drive. Those days were long and difficult but gave me time to grow in my relationship with God and I rely on music to help me get through each day. Through encouraging words from family members about the valley, and the beautiful “get well” flowers on my night side table; the song started flowing out of me and God just placed this song in my head and my heart. The melody and the words just came and I wrote the song start to finish in 2 hours. I’m not through my health journey yet but I’m hopeful that healing is around the corner and I will see the flowers from the mountaintop view again! But in the meantime, I’m trusting Him because He is always good. :)"..

What do you hope the listener takes away from the song?

"Through lyrics such as ‘trust that God’s holding a watering can,” I hope this song encourages listeners to take heart in trying times, reminding them that one day the flowers will be a reminder of why the rain was so necessary."..

What can we expect next from you?

"I'm working on refining my songwriting skills and making a lot of new songs in the near future!!"
