St. Wallace breaks down his artistry and what's next to come..
We love to discover new music and are so happy we had a chance to interview this artist. We asked St. Wallace a few short questions about his artistry and what to expect next. Here's what he had to say..
Every artist has a unique story. Can you tell us a little about yours?
"I was born in New York but was raised in Florida and the island of Dominica. That’s exposed to different music styles and ways of thinking. I’ve been through a lot and used to always feel out of place. That’s where my music comes from. I started singing at like 3 then started playing the drums. I started recording at 17"..
Please tell us about your art. What do you do / make / create? How? Why? What’s the message or inspiration, what do you hope people take away from it? What should we know about your artwork?
"I’m a singer and rapper. I dabble in producing, whatever I have to do to find the right back drop to what I want to say. My music started out as venting. But I started to realize how much I loved it and how much it could help others. I’m not trying to be inspirational it’s just a biproduct of what I’ve created."..
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
"On all streaming platforms. You can stream my new project “Things I Never Said” or purchase a physical copy."..

What's your favorite venue to attend/perform and why?
"It was an art gallery in town called 621 gallery it was the first venue I’d booked so it’s special"..
What's your favorite song/project you've been apart of?
"Breathe it’s very near to my heart. But I have an unreleased song called castaway that’s probably one of my best ever"
Did anyone influence you to start doing music?
"My influences are Drake, Brent Faiyaz, Bob Marley, Temz, My cousins, and Saba."..
Who does what? Tell me about your team. Do you handle it all? Producer/Engineer/Writing etc.
"My Producer/ Engineer for the last year has been Spratta beats @sprattabeats. He’s helped me take my sound to the next level. My videographer is my friend Jordan @levonden.fa he also has a clothing brand and designed my first round of merch. The person who helped me market everything was my first manager Peter @peterhogencamp he moved away but I wouldn’t have come as far as I have without him"..
What advice would you give up and coming independent artists?
"Put your opinion first. As long as you stay true to what you like and give yourself the FINAL say. You’ll make what you like."..
What differentiates you and your art from other artists/musicians?
"Alternative rap. I’d say I make a less mainstream kind of rap but it’s pretty melodic so it still has an appeal to people. I pull from multiple genres, like alternative, Afrobeat, and rock."
What can we expect next from you?
"I have a song called castaway that’s releasing July 22nd. I like the story on it and I'm excited to share it!"
